Close mentorship, carefully adapted

There is no standard student. There should not be a standard lesson.

At Vox Bonum, each lesson grows from what the teacher hears, observes, and understands in the moment. Technique, repertoire, pacing, and explanation are adapted to the person in the room.

This is an organic form of teaching rooted in close mentorship: attentive, responsive, and purposeful. Students are not handed busy work. They are guided toward greater control, confidence, musicianship, and independence.

The Casa Rosa

A historic setting where beauty, truth, and goodness inspire the work.

Lessons are held at Casa Rosa, a historic home in Roma whose wood floors, high walls, and quiet dignity create a natural setting for attentive music making. Its character invites students to listen closely, work carefully, and create with purpose.

The beauty of the house also shapes the spirit of the studio. Repertoire is chosen thoughtfully, with respect for each student and for the setting in which the music is learned. Here, tradition and creativity meet in a space that encourages students to seek what is true, good, and beautiful.

The teacher

Strong teaching combines clear foundations with attention to the individual.

Vox Bonum was founded by Miguel Martinez, a choir director and music educator with more than fifteen years of experience developing young musicians. His work spans choral singing, private voice, beginner piano, and guitar, with roots in both concert music and mariachi.

The studio grew from a belief that teaching should be both structured and personal. Each student is guided through clear musical foundations while technique, repertoire, explanation, and pace are thoughtfully adapted to the way that student learns and grows.
